Comic Reviews: Uncanny Avengers #14

The term epic is thrown around a lot in our day and age. "That Movie Trailer was so epic! Can't wait to see it!" "Epic fail Bro!" and so on. But, believe me when I tell you, Marvel is delivering a Epic Story with the Uncanny Avengers.

The Uncanny Avengers (Left To Right: Havok, Rogue, Thor, Sunfire, Wasp, Captain America, Wonder Man, Wolverine, and the Scarlet Witch)

The Uncanny Avengers is a combination of an Idea. The Idea that Humans & Mutants can combine their efforts to combat Evil, a dream Charles Xavier (Otherwise known as Professor X) died for. That's right Nerds! Professor X died. I'll give you the short version of how it went down.

During A fight between the Avengers Vs. X-Men, otherwise known as AvX back in 2012

The Phoenix (A Giant Flaming Space Bird) decides to visit Earth, to kick-start the Mutant Population into Overdrive. Hope Summers the first Mutant to be born after the Scarlet Witch essentially destroyed the Mutant Race (during the House Of M Event) was foretold that she was a Mutant Messiah. A Leader for her People to guide them to a new Generation for all Mutants everywhere.

Hope Summers Ladies And Gents!

Over the course of Avengers Vs. X-Men, Cyclops gains complete control over the Phoenix and becomes the Dark Phoenix. Having that type of Cosmic Power can be bad for your Mental Health and it's at that point Cyclops ends his longtime Father Figure Professor X. Without spoiling AvX anymore, I'll end with the Avengers (and the World) won!! But, back to the Uncanny....

The Uncanny Avengers latest threat, are Twins known as the Apocalypse Twins. The Brother Uriel and Sister Eimin were children of Archangel (The Evil Version of Angel) and were shortly kidnapped by Kang the Conqueror. In Present Day, the Apocalypse Twins have begun their assault to create a place for all Mutant Kind to exist in their lonesome. Sounds good! Except......the plan involves Scarlet Witch and killing Millions of Human in the process.

The Apocalypse Twins Arc of Uncanny Avengers is pretty lengthy. It begins in #5 and is still going strong with #17 with a Conclusion happening in the near future. #14 packs numerous wallops, the Art is detailed and will leave you grimacing with each blood splatter. #14 also has 2 B I G Deaths that will leave you wondering just how Marvel signed the "Go Ahead!" for this Issue.

I give UA #14 a 5 out of 5, simple because everything about the Issue was awesome and it has a killer last ending page.
