Top 5 Reasons Why Oversaturation Is Killing The Current WWE Product

It’s definitely no secret that oversaturation is one of the biggest problems plaguing WWE today that’s killing their current product because they pump out so much content a month that it’s just too much for WWE fans to keep up with.

I’ve seen numerous WWE fans on YouTube talk about why the current oversaturation of the current WWE product has been more harmful to the company in numerous ways.

Here are top 5 reasons why oversaturation is killing the current WWE product.

1. Overexposure - One of the biggest detriments of the oversaturation problem currently in WWE is the fact that WWE fans are constantly seeing certain people on the main roster getting the same opportunities from pre-leukemia Roman Reigns, Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax, to Charlotte Flair and WWE fans are personally sick of it. Another form of overexposure is Becky Lynch’s current character of “The Man” that is currently being shown on Raw & Smackdown too much which actually hurts her character because it takes away the special uniqueness of her current character and turns her back into the old just another face on the main roster.

2. Increases The Risk Of Injuries - One of the most negative things that oversaturation does is actually increasing the chances for performers on the main roster to get injured because they hardly get any time off to recover from their injuries let alone spending time with their family. I actually told a friend of mine on social media who’s a narrow minded thinker when it comes to WWE in particular the reason why Ember Moon will be out probably for up to a year is because  of the brutal travel schedule that demands these performers be on the road over 300 days a year and my friend argued that the road schedule had nothing to do with Ember’s injury, that’s narrow minded thinking if you ask me. 2018 was an awful year for WWE when it came to the injury bug when performers like Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and others like them suffered serious injuries that have either sidelined them for weeks or months because primarily of the brutal and grueling travel schedule.

3. Too Much Filler - One of the biggest negatives of the current oversaturation problem going on in WWE is the fact that it has led to way too much filler on the main roster and specifically on RAW from Ronda Rousey’s meaningless filler matches with The Riott Squad to meaningless filler segments like “ A Moment Of Bliss”. These meaningless filler matches and segments that are constantly being forced and shoved down the the throats of fans is definitely one of the main reasons as to why the weekly TV ratings for WWE are at an all-time low and they promised “changes”, but through the clips I see on YouTube, I still see the same old filler garbage that’s polluting the minds of WWE fans today.

4. Not Shuffling Talent Around - One of the biggest reasons why there’s so much oversaturation on the current WWE main roster has to do with the fact that not shuffling talent around is definitely not one of their strong suits. For example: On RAW and Smackdown, you constantly see the exact same people every week from Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, Andrade, Rey Mysterio, Drew McIntyre, Sasha Banks, and Bobby Lashley. What that does is also take away time from other guys like Apollo Crews who’s rarely even featured on the main roster nowadays because of the fact that WWE just doesn’t know how to utilize their talents very well at all nowadays.

5. Too Many PPVs - One of the main problems with the current oversaturation in WWE nowadays is that there are way too many PPVs and Sasha Banks can definitely attest to this as she pointed out recently on an episode of The E&C Podcast by saying, “I do wish there was more time to build, but I think that’s with a lot of people’s storylines, but we just have way too many pay-per-views. Once Royal Rumble is done, we have three weeks until Elimination Chamber. Once that ends, we have another three weeks until Fastlane and then it’s like four weeks until WrestleMania. There’s never enough time where you can just sit and digest these stories” I actually agree with Sasha because having too many PPVs not only doesn’t allow enough time to build cohesive storylines and feuds, but it also devalues The A-List PPVs of Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, and Survivor Series. And the last negative aspect about having too many PPVs is that the B-List PPVs like FastLane & TLC feel more like a glorified 4-5 hour episode of RAW than an actual PPV event because the stage set being used for the B-List PPVs is constantly the RAW set.

The Conclusion - WWE claims “they listen to the fans”, but in reality they hypocrites that are full of shit that gladly kiss the asses of their corporate sponsors, investors, and shareholders that they truly please, not the fans.
