Respect Candy Corn

As the Halloween season draws to an end I think it's time we address a serious issue. Candy corn, doesn't get the respect it deserves. That's right, I said it. Candy corn deserves your respect. In fact, it deserves your admiration. I said it, and I stand by it.

For too long candy corn has gotten a bad name. It's disgusting, it's nasty, there's no flavor. Nonsense, all of you have poor pallets. Necco Wafers and circus peanuts are still out here living their best lives. Have you ever had a Good and Plenty? It's licorice, covered in candy. It's disgusting. Yet here we are, talking about candy corn. Not creamed corn. Not cobbed corn. Not popped corn, but candy corn.

I'm gonna keep it real with you. If you hate candy corn, you probably never had the good stuff. Your parents probably didn't love you so they got the big bag from the dollar store with the crap made from high fructose corn syrup or and some stuff you can't even pronounce. Have you ever tasted candy corn made with honey? You can't get that at the local dollar store.

For over 100 years, candy corn has been out here in these streets laying down what it means to be candy. Yet, every year we got people coming out the woodwork to talk about how it's the worst candy. If it was so bad, candy corn wouldn't be sold year round in different colors. How can you sit there on the internet and lie to me? I dare you to tell me you'd rather eat a marshmallow peep than some candy corn.

When your favorite candy is around as long as candy corn, then we can talk. Until your favorite candy is over 100 years in the came, it can't even lace up candy corns boots. It's time for a change we aren't going to disrespect candy corn when trash candy is out there year round and getting a pass. When you see candy corn, from now on, pay respect.
