Bleach is over and that means it's time to reminisce about all the good times and the bad times. Today I will be talking about the things that make me love Bleach while tomorrow will be the opposite.
1. Characters
Bleach has some amazing characters. Every character has their own personality as well as goal and former struggle. The designs for each character is godly. Everyone is truly unique. There are some bad characters of characters that just kinda suck or don't amount to anything like Chad, Isane, Hitsugaiya, but all Bleach characters for the most part have something that will strike you whether it be that you can relate to them or maybe their just badass. The characters are the reason I liked BLeach in the first place. Its also a great example of how good characters will make up for a shitty plot.
2. Soundtrack
Bleach has one of the best anime soundtracks I have ever heard. And it may be the biggest with all the character themes, OPs, EDs, BGM, and voice actors singing theme songs. Every song in Bleach is designed to move you whether it be the catchy character themes like Ichigo's #1 or the colorful OPs or the usually sad EDs. There is not a bad song on the soundtrack.
3. Powers
Bleach has a very wide spectrum of Powers. You could be a Shinigami with a Bankai and know Kidou, and Arrancar with their Resurreccion, a Fullbringer (if you care), and powerfull as Sternritter, or a Bount (if you care). There is a lot you can choose from and for the most part all of them have their advantages and can trump the others. I like how they all have their origins as well and how each person, even if the same species, will have a different power from the rest. Yes, all Shinigami will have a Bankai and Shikai but each will be vastly different. I think this is one of the highlights to Bleach because it's one of the few things that are really thought out.
4. Cool Atmosphere
Bleach hs this atmosphere that's different from other series. Its very cool and even though the story might not be the best, it's good enough and we get to see the characters shine more. The plot is not deep but the backstories of the characters and their current interactions with each other are. I think this is why Bleach fans enjoy the series so much because the atmosphere and the characters drive the story.
5. Ass Whoopings Are Real
Whether both participants live or die, no one can just walk away from a Bleach fight unscathed unless they fought someone way beneath them like Juha merking Yammamoto. very Bleach fight up until the Fullbringer Arc was always lit. Except the meaningless fights. But the major, prime time fights were always character and story driven with great fight sequences. When the characters finally shut the fuck up and get to throwing them bitches, everything was alright.
So this is everything I love about Bleach and tomorrow I'm going in on everything I hate about Bleach.
