Well if you're keeping up wih the news lately then you'll know that Seungyeon, Gyuri, and Hara's, the senior members of Kara, contracts are set to expire by the end of this year. Back in 2013 I got scared because this same thing happened .Rumors were going around that Jiyoung and Nicole would leave the group to pursue other activities. This time there are no rumors about that but just rumors of the rest of the group calling it quits.
Kara has been making music for the last 9 years. With Jiyoung and Nicole leaving and the addition of Youngji, Kara's music as gradually started to decline. The reason for this, in my opinion, is because Kara has a new lineup and you can obviously tell that they've switched up their stye because of Youngji. Kara is not the same. On top of this, it may be possible that they may never be the same.
Now lets look at Kara now. Hara has had a relatively susscessful solo debut. Gyuri has been collbarating with other artist and Seunyeon has been doing her own things such as owning property.
The other members of Kara own property as well. If Kara dispands, they will be financially set.
I'm pretty sure all of them can get acting jobs as well as releasing solo work. They could even go the Nicole route with releasing solo work in Korea and then Japan.
Kara disbanding will be an end to a great legacy in the K Pop business. Kara, Wonder Girls, Big Bang and Super Junior promoting together in one year has made this a great year not only for music but the peole who are VIPS, Wonderfuls, and Kameillas like myself. Without Kara there wil be a void in K Pop.
I don't know what can happen with Kara. I will miss them like hell if they disband but if they continue on their currnet path, I won't like their music as much as I used to. I do wish that they go back to their old style or if they do disband, can the 3 originals drop one last album just for the fans? Anything can happen. We'll just have to see what kind of Christmas present we will get this year.

I did not know kpop until I heard Psy's song Gangnam style. Psy catchy vocals that I heard on the radio got me interested to see his video . Then I got to see his cool dance moves and more importantly related kpop videos like Kara's. Then I fell in love with their Band. I too miss the Five Member Kara Band. Very Sad
