CLC - First Love Album Review

I wasn't too excited with the news of CUBE debuting a new girl group. Its not that I didn't want one but its more of, I kind of don't care. If you look around you, there is a lot of new girl groups pooping up like popcorn. Some have been able to catch my eye like Red Velvet, Sonamoo, Lip Service, A.KOR, and 4TEN. I wasn't really looking forward to them but that soon changed when I heard their debut mini album First Love and watched their music video for PEPE.

Before I listened to the album I watched the music video for PEPE. I was quite surprised from the very beginning. I mean the first 0.1 seconds, I was surprised. CLC is different from the other girl groups that debuted this year and last year. They sound mature already. It' is as if CUBE breed them since birth and just decided to debut them now. CLC is one of those groups that you know is a rookie but you can't see it because they sound and look like they've been doing it for years.

PEPE is a good song but that's not my favorite on the album. It actually goes to the third song Sharala. That song is really lovely and sweet. It reminds me a little of Kara. Actually CLC remind me of Kara and a pinch of Wonder Girls. PEPE is my second favorite song by the way and it is going into my spring playlist. The other 3 songs on the album are good as well. CLC really have some mature voices. They can sang, if you know what I mean. Yeeun is a pretty decent rapper as well. Thank you for debuting a new girl group CUBE. I can't wait to see more of them in the future. Now its Starships turn because it looks like a sausage fest over there.

Since First Love is a mini album of only 5 songs I will rate it out of 5. CLC gets a rating of 3/5. I really like this album and it is easy on the ears and has some great flow. I recommend you check out CLC because they are good.
