MFBTY - Wondaland Album Review

The first time I ever heard of MFBTY was when female member Yoon Mirae released the single Angel which featured other members, husband Tiger JK, and Bizzy. Someone told me to listen to the song and I did and I loved it. I wanted to get into more of Yoon Mirae's music but I didn't have the chance. Soon it was announced that MFBTY would be releasing an album. I went into this album not knowing much about them and I was surprised.

This is a South Korean Hip Hop album by rappers Tiger JK, Bizzy, and Yoon Mirae. The album gives you mixed emotions. Some songs are really hip hop based like Bucku Bucku featuring Rap Monster, EE, and Dino-J. This is a good Hip Hop song. Not knowing anything about Yoon Mira besides she lived in Texas, I was surprised at how fluent her English is when she raps. I loved her verse on this song. Dino -J killed his verse and so did EE. I don't know who she is but I kind of fell in love with her voice. It reminds me of a really young female anime character. It seemed weird at first but then it grew on me.

There are songs like Bang Diggy Bang Bang which is about having fun and what not while there are songs like Hollywho about money, Rebel Music which is about politics and what not while you have songs like 6am and Half Time which are about love. This album has it all. It transitions from song to song in a well manner. All of the songs seem to flow into each other which is a good thing. I liked how MFBTY is hip hop yet they had pop or idol rappers Junhyung of BEAST and Rap Monster of BTS feature on songs. Their verses were also great. I would like to see Junhyung work with them on another song because Let it Go is a great song.

I can't really say what is my favorite song because there are two many but I highly recommend this album to everyone. This album goes beyond Korean music into great music as a whole. Don't let the fact that it is in Korean turn you away because two of my friends who don't listen to Korean music love this album. Spring and Summer are coming up and the songs on here are destined for a playlist spot. Bang Diggy Bang Bang is great for working out by the way. I give this album a rating of 8/10. This is a solid album that everyone should listen to.
