Black Goliath
William Foster grew up poor. I'm talking so poor that when you visit his house the rats trip you and the roaches take your wallet. He was so poor homeless people gave him money. He was so poor they were giving out horseback rides for 5 cents and he ran next to the horse yelling "That's a good deal." The point is they were flat broke growing up. I have to mention that because it's important later. William managed to escape because he was smart. Let that be a lesson to some of you. William graduated California Technical Institute on a full ride scholarship. Next he joined the military. When his tour of duty was over he worked at Stark Labs making a lot of money.
Tony eventually asked Bill to help solve a problem. Yes, his name is William but he goes by Bill, yes it's stupid. When they arrived at the deep basement Bill learned that Hank Pym, was stuck at ten feet tall. Bill was able to quickly solve the problem with ease. Bill then took the formula, concentrated it and removed all side effects from the serum. He did this all to win back his Ex-Wife.
He wrote her a letter saying that he was stuck at ten feet tall and working at a circus to pay for his research. She felt bad for him and showed up, with her boyfriend, Luke Cage. Bill should have gave up, Luke is a man's man. Luke Cage is big boss dog. Jealous, Bill started a fight with Luke, even at ten feet tall, Luke will knock you on your ass. Eventually they stopped the fight when they learned Ringmaster was actually in control of the circus. Afterwards Bill decided to do the hero thing, he became best friends with The Thing, from the Fantastic 4, Luke Cage beat them up in the past too so it was only natural they would be friends.
Sadly Atom Smasher would give Bill radiation poisoning, because he's a dick, and Bill would begin to die slowly. However he would be saved from death's doorstep by a blood transfusion from Jessica Drew. He lost his powers for a while but he later regained them and continued his hero duties.
During the Civil War Bill crossed paths with Luke Cage once again this time they were teammates on the Secret Avengers because they agreed the Superhuman Registration Act was just a new form of slavery. Black Goliath demonstrated his abilities and dominated a battle between the two sides.
But Tony Star is an irresponsible alcoholic and Reed Richards is an enabler. The two of them created a half robot clone of Thor to fight on their side in the war. This clone would do battle with Black Goliath. Black Goliath had Ragnorock, the clone, on the ropes. His lightning attacks had minimum effects on a man standing over 100 feet tall and was a strength disadvantage. But then the unthinkable happened. Ragnorock used his lightning powers to cause Black Goliath's heart to implode.
His sacrifice managed to bring all of the heroes on both side to attend his funeral. Black Goliath was truly bigger than life and thus he couldn't be shrunken from his 100ft tall size and was buried at that size. However his nephew Thomas Foster, an M.I.T. student, told Black Panther he planned to crack the Pym formula and take over for his uncle. Being an irresponsible adult Black Panther promised to help.

Black Goliath II
Thomas managed to reproduce the serum to perfection, with some help from irresponsible adult Black Panther. Honestly his stories are pretty pointless. During World War Hulk he sided with the Hulk until he saw the Hulks cruelty then testified both for and against Hulk. He then saw a few people get killed and was rejected as a member of Damage Control. He later joined the Revengers. Bill would be ashamed of him for being so bad at being a superhero.
