Brother Voodoo: Jericho Drumm
In Haiti voodoo is still a big part of the culture. Jericho Drumm was born into that culture. However, he was not fond of. Instead he chose to leave Haiti and travel to New York City to study psychology. When he left he left his little brother Daniel behind. When Jericho returned after 12 years his brother Daniel had become the Houngan Supreme, or top sorcerer. Daniel was in a turf war with another sorcerer named Damballah. Damballah claimed that he was possessed by the spirit of God. Daniel was wounded seriously in a battle with Damballah. He forced Jericho to promise that he would get revenge with voodoo. Jericho agreed and sought out Papa Jambo to train him in the art of voodoo. Papa Jambo.
Papa Jambo intended for Jericho to be his replacement as Houngan Supreme. Jericho's brother Daniel was bound to his soul, making them one. The name Brother Voodoo was bestowed on Jericho and he left to face Damballah. Jericho revealed that Damballah was possessed by a false God named Zobop. After defeating Zabop, Jericho went on to become a hero. He bummed around Haiti and the United States for a while making a name for himself until one crazy night in New Orleans.
When Dr. Strange realized he lost the title of Sorcerer Supreme he gathers the New Avengers and travel the world looking for his replacement. He does this because he fears The Hood will kill whoever becomes the New Sorcerer Supreme. This takes the team to New Orleans. They arrive when The Hood is fighting Daimon Hellstorm. Dr. Strange and the team assure Daimon that he's the new Sorcerer Supreme. He tells Daimon to run. At this point Brother Voodoo shows up and cleans house because nobody expected a black guy to be the new Sorcerer Supreme. He accepts a spot on the Avengers. Dr. Stranger tries to tutor Brother Voodoo but it's mostly lectures about why dark magic like voodoo is bad. Brother Voodoo takes the Dr. name that comes with Sorcerer Supreme and be comes Dr. Voodoo. But after 12 years of college he should be a Dr. already. Anyway, he ditches strange and goes to work at his free clinic. Dr. Doom arrives and they fight. Dr. Doom gets the upper hand but The Eye of Agamotto makes him hallucinate and give up.
Later Agamotto possesses both Dr. Strange and Hellstorm. Dr. Voodoo realizes what's going on and breaks them free of possession. He then sacrifices himself to kill Agamotto once and for all. Dr. Strange doesn't care about this sacrifice and instantly claims the title of Sorcerer Supreme for himself. Dr. Strange is starting to look like a racist and a power hungry jerk.
Recently during AXIS, when personalities of characters were reversed,Brother Voodoo was revived by Dr. Doom to defeat the Scarlet Witch. He continues working with Doom to take down Iron Man as well. Afterwards he becomes a member of Avengers Unity and nothing else.
