Anime Review: Space Dandy

Space Dandy is about an alien bounty hunter named (you guessed it) Space Dandy. Space Dandy has two sidekicks one a robot named QT and a cat-like alien named Meow. Now this sounds kind of straight forward and it is.

The plot isn’t really important because Space Dandy isn’t really a plot focused anime. This series is mainly comedy driven with references from different anime, music, and other things. You may be thinking that Space Dandy seems lame but let me touch on that.








For me Space Dandy is a hit or miss type of anime. You’ll either going to like the series or hate it. I personally enjoyed the series for the most part. A lot of the episodes were enjoyable and some were meh. The animation is beautiful and the soundtrack is pretty good and if you just want to watch something that will make you laugh then Space Dandy is it.


I will say that even though the plot really isn’t important it does have a little bit of significance on the overall story. Characters like Dandy, QT, Honey, Meow, and Scarlet really make the show worth watching. There are also are many other characters that may keep your interest.

Overall Space Dandy isn’t bad but if you’re looking for a pure action mecha space anime Space Dandy isn’t what you’re looking for. If you need a laugh out loud series to watch then I would recommend Space Dandy. Stay Dandy Baby.
