I was going to use this time for my review of Spider-Man but people on the internet are wrong. I just have to tell them how wrong they are. You can't let people get away with that, otherwise they just get louder and bolder. These folks actually think the new game makes Spider-Man a "damn cop." Well let me tell you, you are just wrong.
I mean, first of all Spider-Man is a hero. He's not a vigilante like Batman or Nighthawk. Heroes are welcomed and loved by the police. Iron Man doesn't have to dodge the cops like Nighthawk or Punisher. Spider-Man is free to walk the streets and be loved by the people. There's no hiding his shame with that mask, only his identity.
This whole thing stems from Spider-Man fixing some surveillance equipment owned by the fictional NYPD. The same fictional NYPD that once helped Spider-Man by arresting Thanos, but that's another story. However, it's not just the NYPD using this equipment. It's Spider-Man too. They make it sound like Spider-Man was out here installing trackers in people's arms and passing off their location to the NYPD instead of what boils down to some CCTV with audio.
Spider-Man never stopped me for a brake light being out, when it wasn't. Nobody ever called Spider-Man on me for being suspicious in the neighborhood I lived in for 13 years. Spider-Man isn't out here shooting unarmed minorities. You want to see Spider-Man as the police? Read Superior Spider-Man and watch Doc Oct plant surveillance around the city and solve crime with a glock.
Nobody turned Spider-Man into a cop. What do you think superheroes are supposed to do? Should Spider-Man tear down NYPD surveillance and blast "Fuck The Police," by NWA? Some people want to be oppressed so badly that they turn Spider-Man into the villain. Now if you excuse me, I have some web slinging to do.
