African American Writers?

Where are they African American writers? I just published my first book on Amazon Kindle called Love Confessions. Since then I have been thinking about my future. It concerns me as an African American that I don't know any other poets or writers. Most of us are rappers and that's fine but poetry is another great way of expressing yourself. The reason I am writing this is because I want to establish a network of African American writers. I want to show the world that we can take over writing and change the game. People always wonder why there aren't a lot of black people in movies but that's because the writers of those movies are white. Normally a white writer makes roles for white actors. As Black people we need to reinvent ourselves and we can do that through writing. If you are or know of other writers contact me through the info below. Let's make a difference.
