The Best of Namie Amuro

So Namie Amuro is releasing Ballada in Juneand I can't wait. The album is filled with her best ballad songs. So with this I was thinking about her best R&B songs. This will be my personal list of her best R&B songs. There is no particular order.

Can't Sleep, Can't Eat, I'm Sick
This is the perfect song to listen to when you are going through some relationship type things. I tried not o get to personal with that one. This song actually makes you feel a lot better with dance feel. When ever I listen to this song I sing it nonstop. Some times I also .listen to it repeatedly. This is an endless summer jam in my opinion.

Baby Don't Cry
This song makes me feel so warm inside. I hear this song and a bad day can become a good one. Namie lets us know that in the end it will be alright so don't cry. This song also reminds me of simpler times when stress basically didn't cry.

Step With It
Step with it makes me want to dance all day long. Classic R&B with this one. All my troubles step away from me when I play this song. Anyone who has heard this song knows that it will have singing.

Wowa
Wowa is a great R&B song. It including No were on her last full length R&B album before she switched over to Pop. This is just a cool and fun song to listen and dance to. Wowa is a song that if you don't like it than something is wrong with you.

Want Me, Want Me
I love this song because this is her best dance slash club song ever. This song makes you want to move, shuck, and jive. You can also get freaky with this song. Ok that was too much information. I want this and Baby Don't cry to be played at my funeral.

Fish
This song is cool as hell. It has that "I have to dance and rap this song out as hard as I can" feel to it. I listen to this song because it reminds me of the Golden Age of R&B. Its so classic that it came out in 2003 yet people still bump this song in 2014. Its like Ice Cube's Today was a Good Day. Both these songs are great and will forever to be played.

Still in love
This song describes exactly how you feel once you have a hard break up or something happens between you and some one you love. Ms. Amuro's voice, the melody, the beat, the story, and the mix of Japanese and English all flow so well together like water. I always listen to this song about 5 times before I move on to the next one. I just can't wait to hold you (in my Namie Amuro voice).

Things I've Collected
At 6 minutes this is one of my all time favorite Namie Amuro songs. This is arguably her best R&B song ever. When you listen to this in this day and age you literally take a trip back in time. Everything about this song screams greatness. Ms. Amuro's voice and the mix between English and Japanese is why I am in love with her. The album this song is on, Genius 2000, is my favorite album by her. It is her best R&B album and it just oozes greatness.

Going through this list makes it clear that Namie Amuro from 1997 to 2007 is better than Namie from 2008 to the present. Don't get me wrong, I love her current and recent work in the last 6 years but it doesn't beat her classic work. I wish Namie would do more R&B now that she does all pop but it doesn't seem like its happening. We do get some great R&B songs here and there like Let Me Let You Go and My Love but that's pretty much it. I still love you either way Ms. Amuro. With this said I can not wait for the Ballada album so I can be in ma feels. Until then I'll see you guys later.
