Those are the words that Big Bang Hank is most remembered for. Big Bang Hank was one of the members of the group Sugar Hill Gang. The Sugar Hill Gang were known as rap pioneers. Along with Wonder Mike and Master Gee, The Sugar Hill Gang paved the way for mainstream hip hop success. They were one of the first hip hop acts to top the US charts with their hit single Rapper's Delight.They never had another number one hit but they did pave the way for many hip hop artist behind them. On November 11, 2014 Big Bang Hang (real name Henry Jackson) died after a battle with cancer.
Although he wasn't known as the greatest lyricist, a hit maker or the greatest of all time Hank was without doubt one of Hip Hop's frontrunners. Today we salute you Hank.
