Top 10 Verbal Jint Beats

"As he is a Korean Rapper, its hard to find info on every single one of his songs. Some of them are co produced but majority of the songs listed are produced by him"

Verbal Jint is one of my favorite rappers to ever exist. He's my favorite rapper to come from South Korea. As I've done previously with Cha Cha Malone, I will be listing what I believe to be Verbal Jint's best beats. He's been making music since the late 90's so this was a tall, but fun mountain to climb.

*In no order

Song: Just Another Rapper
Album: Just Another Rapper
This beat is funky as fuck. Verbal Jint sat int he studio and thought to himself "how can I make Garser bounce in his car", then created "Just Another Rapper". This is a song I can't wait to listen to in the Spring/Summer. On top of that he got two of my favorite rappers in Swings and San E to float all over the beat like a boat. Not only is it one of his best beats but it personifies a side of VJ. Though he's more of a sensual and calm producer, he can make a club/car banger just as easy as his producer counterparts.

Song: I Smell Autumn
Album: I Smell Autumn
This might be my favorite VJ song ever. It's able to encapsulate the atmosphere and smell of the Autumn season. Making it a love song is even better. The synths are calm while the bass is at the right tempo. Just as the above songs shows VJ's upbeat side, "I Smell Autumn" is VJ at some of his most sensual vibes.

Song: The Butt Looks The Same
Album: Favorite
From his second EP, one of the most upbeat song son the album is "The Butt Looks The Same". Its such a fun song that makes you want to do nothing but dance. Its a club hit. One of the few club hits he has. The best way I can describe it, its a song that could have been used in one of those cheesy dance movies from the early 2000s. Though the song came out in 2007, it still holds up as a cool track.

Song: Language Barrier
Album: Go Hard: The Other Side
VJ dropped one of the best Korean HipHop albums of 2015. The entire album is so good with zero skips. One of the best beats on the album has to go to "Language Barrier". On the track VJ raps about being a great rapper and producer in Korean despite the clear language barrier.  The man frankly stunts on us by displaying all of the different types of beats he can rap on. Not only is the beat good but its a funny song to listen to.

Song: My Type 2
Album: My Type 2
Another contender for my top songs from VJ. "My Type 2" is the sequel to "My Type" which was produced for Jessi and Cheetah. The sequel is better than the original and "My Type 2.5" with Microdot simply because its sexier. There's a sexy Spanish guitar that arouses you while Kang Min Kyung's soft voice croons over the bass. Its a song that you'll fall in love with from the first 10 seconds.

Song: Doin It
Album: Yeoja
2015 was a crazy year for VJ, He featured and produced for nearly everyone before dropping the Yeoja EP with Sanchez and his solo LP "Go Hard" The Other Side" later in the year. One of the lead singles for Yeoja was "Doin It". The song is a slow jazzy number that also features singer Bumkey. With a jazzy beat and Sanchez and Bumkey's sweet vocals, this is one of his best works. I wish he made more jazzy music but its not the only song on this list.

Song: Luv Songz
Album: Go Easy
I started listening to Verbal Jint back in 2014. The first album I listened to was "Go Easy" as that was his recent work at the time. It was love at first sight. My favorite song on the album is "Luv Songz" as it put me in prime simp mode. I wasn't even in love or had a crush on anyone but boy did this song take me there. Late nights listening to the middle portion of this album had me crying hot tears. The beat itself is liquid. It sounds like running water with a nice beat clap behind it. Its a song you have to listen to in order to experience what I'm saying.

Song: Got To Be You
Album: 10 Years of Misinterpretation
A long time ago VJ used to have a lot of Jazz and Blues inspired music. This is one as "Got To Be You" is a sad song that VJ sings over a full band about love. I wish he used more live instruments these days as this song is so smooth and delicious to listen to. I kind of wish he had a falsetto singer on the track to give it an extra spice.

Song: She's Gone
Album: 10 Years of Misinterpretation, LP
I've never been so sad yet rowdy at the same time until I heard this song. The drums and guitar are so ecstatic while VJ raps about losing the love of his life for good. The break down towards the end of the song is some radical shit.

Song: Favorite
Album: Favorite
I love collaborations. On his "Favorite" EP, with the title song "Favorite" VJ enlists Dynamic Duo to help him talk about their favorite types of women. While having being released in 2007, the song sort of has a 80's feel to it. Its not overbearing but just enough to give you a couple of tingles. Its another track I wish VJ did more of these days.
