Top 10 Cha Cha Malone Beats

Cha Cha Malone has made a name for himself as one of South Korea's best mainstream producer. Popping on to the scene along with long time friend Jay Park, Cha Cha has gone on to produce songs for several Korean Pop artists as well as nearly every HipHop and R&B artist under they're sun. But what are the best beats that he's created? Mixing trendy, soulful and poppy instrumentation, I seek out to find his best beats today.

*Not in Order

Song: Worldwide
Artist: Jay Park
Album : Worldwide
Every producer, at some point in their career, should have you making a musty looking face to one of their beats. Cha Cha has several but "Worldwide" is his best yet. As the album opener you're greeted with pulsating hi hats and a menacing bass. Top it off with Jay Park, Dok2, and The Quiett raping as if they're the best rappers in the game and you've got the hardest song to come out of Korea in 2015. I should know, I listened to everything that year. Nothing came close to it.

Song: Solo
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Everything You Wanted
Jay Park's 4th studio album "Everything You Wanted" was true to itself as it was what fans wanted. A pure R&B with Jay crooning his soul over each track. Cha Cha Malin produced the majority of the album. The biggest single was "Solo" a song about unrequited love. A Poppy R&B that's catchy from the very start with its bubble pop synths and underlying instrumentals. The song is nothing short of infectious. Though rather sad, it's a number that could have one on cloud nine.

Song: All I Wanna Do
Artist:  Jay Park
Album: Everything You Wanted
Jay and Cha Cha dropped this at the perfect time. The song came out in early 2016 and was the prelude to "EYW". Everyone was grateful as it was an instant banger with Cha Cha's classic beat style. Merging dazzling synths and drums created the song of the summer.

Song: Turn Off Your Phone Remix
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Everything You Wanted
A remix of the original that debuted on Jay Park's debut album "New Breed" in 2012, no one saw this coming. What was a soft melodc joint turned into a sexual cluster of fucking (yes I said it). In all honesty, it's hard to describe the anatomy of this song without being downright dirty. Fans know, but if you don't know, listen to it in the playlist below.

Song: Only One
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Everything You Wanted
After a great run of R&B songs on "EYW", we got a short section of HipHop joints. The second of which was "Only One" featuring Raz Simone. This is clearly one of Cha Cha's best beats as well as showcased the ability to adapt to other artists outside of Jay Park. Hearing Raz Simone on the beat was refreshing and amazing at the same time. To describe the song, it is a rush. I can see and feel myself in a car racing down a highway at night jammin to this.

Song: Me Like Yuh
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Everything You Wanted
When Drake made Afrobeats/Caribbean/Dancehall hot with his "Views" singles, everyone else hopped on the wave. Most of it was garbage because it was a lazy reference and not a good adaptation. Cha Cha on the other hand, made a bop. I fell in love with "Me Like Yuh" because you could tell he put a level of care into it. It wasn't wave riding but taking something that was trendy at the time and adding it to his arsenal.

Song: Ain't No Party Like An AOMG Party
Artist: Jay Park and Ugly Duck
Album: Scene Stealers
I didn't know I needed a joint EP by Jay Park and Ugly Duck. The label mates came together to make a banger of an EP. It was filled with gritty and bumping beats. I can't tell you what's the best song on the album but one of the best beats was definitely "Ain't No Party Like An AOMG Party". How do you make such a jumpin beat with a dark atmosphere? Like, when I listen to the song I imagine a party that takes place in a dungeon with neon lights. It's weird but that's how the beat makes me feel.

Song: I Want It
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Worldwide
Listen, Cha Cha really showed his ass on "Worldwide" and "Everything You Wanted". The former was dope Rap beats while the latter was sensual R&B beats. "I Want It" is hands down one of his best beats. This and "Worldwide" were the two best beats on that album. These two are not up for debating. When I listen to it I've never wanted to rap, rob someone, and steal an airplane all in one song. That's how gritty and passionate this beat is. IT made me realize I wanted Cha Cha and Nochang to make music together.

Song: So Good
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Evolution
This is probably the happiest song on the list. No matter how much I love his raps, Jay Park's best music will always be when he sings, whether or Pop or R&B instrumentation. "So Good" is one of my favorite beats simply because it puts a smile on my face. It's simple in design but it hits on every aspect. You can't help but want to dance like Michael Jackson.

Song: Cha Cha Cypher
Artist: Jay Park
Album: Worldwide
Ending this list is none other than "Cha Cha Cypher. I kind wish he made more beats liekt his cause boy am I bobbing my head the whole time. It reminds me of 90's and underground 00's hiphop music. Just a bunch of rappers spitting over a dope beat.
