Top 5 Things That Vegeta Does Better Than Goku

I have made it no secret that I have been a fan of Vegeta ever since I started watching Dragon Ball Z when I was in my mid-teens when Toonami was actually at its peak back then because it used to be shown between the 3pm-6pm time slot central standard time.

Vegeta has gotten the most character development of any character in Dragon Ball history and he’s also one of the most iconic characters in anime history and nobody can ever deny the impact that Vegeta’s had in anime since first appearing in the manga 30 years ago in Japan. And Vegeta has been and will always be my favorite Dragon Ball character.

Here are top 5 things that Vegeta does better than Goku.

Better Father

One of the main things that makes Vegeta so much better than Goku is that he is a far better father than Goku because unlike Goku, Vegeta has almost never abandoned his family to go off and train all the damn time nor has put his son through so much abuse like Goku did his son Gohan from The Saiyan Saga to the end of The Cell Saga which is why it’s said that Piccolo is Gohan’s dad because Goku is almost never around because he’s never truly cared about being a family man unlike Vegeta who spoke highly of his family during his big fight against Toppo in the anime version of The Tournament Of Power.

2. Better Tactician

Since Vegeta is an elite Saiyan who is experienced in military tactics and warfare and an example of this is he would often hold back to analyze his opponent and already has a plan way before entering the area and Piccolo confirmed this during his fight against Android 19 during the moment that Vegeta reached the peak of his Saiyan career by transforming into a Super Saiyan which caused a massive crater shocking The Z Fighters.

3. Creating His Own Moves

Goku is known for using borrowed techniques like the Kamehameha, Spirit Bomb, Kaioken, Solar Flare, Instant Transmission, and Hakai (manga) which I didn’t like because that was clearly an asspull from Toriyotaro. Vegeta however has always been one to create his own techniques like The Big Bang Attack, Galick Gun, Atomic Blast, Final Explosion, Final Shine, Final Flash and he’s far better in this area than Goku has ever been.

4. Killing People

If there’s one thing that Vegeta’s better than Goku at, it’s killing people. When he was first introduced during The DBZ era, he was depicted as a vicious, ruthless, and arrogant heel (bad guy) that was forced to do the bidding of the vicious and ruthless tyrant known as Frieza by killing people from other planets and selling them off to the highest bidder. Goku is often casted as the typical hero that’s reluctant to kill unless his family, friend, and planet is threatened. Vegeta’s much more badass than Goku, especially while killing his enemies during The DBZ era.

5. Better Looking

One of the things that makes Vegeta better than Goku in my personal opinion is the fact that he looks better than Goku as a Super Saiyan with The Android Saga Armor, Super Saiyan 2, especially in The Battle Of Gods  Arc during the “My Bulma!!!” moment, and he also looks much better than Goku in Super Saiyan Blue and Super Saiyan 4 in GT. Even though Vegeta’s look and costumes have been retconned quite a few times over the years, but it doesn’t change the fact that Vegeta’s better looking than Goku in many ways.

The Conclusion - I appreciate Vegeta so much as a character because he reminds me of myself when I was very young: wild and rebellious.
