Top 10 Songs: Month of February 2018

Hyolyn - #1 To Do List
Hyolyn's first single since leaving Starship Ent. and staring her own label is a beautiful one. A break up love song that tugs at the heartstrings. I love the acoustic guitar as her voice floats over it. Its definitely a great song to listen to if you're just broken up or even if not. I found myself having in on repeat though I'm not sad.

Ravyn Lenae - Sticky
Rayvn Lenae has released the "Crush" EP that is fully produced by The Internet's Steve Lacy. The entire album is a throwback to '80's Jazz and R&B. "Sticky" is my favorite because of the sound of her voice. It just melts all over the beat and taste great in your mouth. Everything about this song just screams of a good time.

Call Lee - Feeling Yeah
Call Lee is back with another great song. "Feeling Yeah" is another break up  song for this list yet it is different from Hyolyn's more sensual vocal joint. Call Lee comes through with a more complex yet still striking production that lets us know, everything isn't okay despite being able to bounce to the beat.

SAAY - Cold View
SAAY is back with another great song for our ears. This song is about a complicated relationship. SAAY continues to show us just how powerful her voice can be but this time in a more sensual way. The beat is very mid tempo but still able to grab your attention with its spacey yet sweet nature.

Don Mills - It Was Crazy
One of my favorite rapper rolls around with a new EP with tons of features from great artist. One of my favorites is the Beenzino featured "It Was Crazy" which is a direct continuation from Beenzino's 2014 track "Crazy As Fuck" which featured Don Mills. Now the roles are reversed but both still deliver solid lyrics over a dope beat worthy of the car bumps and club humps.

Janelle Monae - Django Jane
I've never been a fan of Janelle Monae though her music is always great. This time she came out swinging for everyone with "Django Jane".  Bars on top of bars on top of bars. I never knew she could spit like that though I love her voice when she sings. I was taken aback and it easily became one of my favorite songs of the month, maybe even year. The music video was just as dope.

Sam Rui - Better
I just stumbled upon the young Singaporean superstar this month through her song "Better" I was taken aback by the style, I thought it would be Pop but she's a modern R&B sensation. "Better" shows off her dark yet striking color with good vocals, lyrics and a cool beat. Though the song came out last year, I've had it on repeat this entire month.

Red Velvet - Bad Boy
So "Bad Boy" came out last month but it is an entire jam. Like I love it so much that it made me question my life. Red Velvet are the Queens of KPOP and no one is coming for them anytime soon. This is the best song to be released in Korea this year.

CLC - Black Dress
CLC came back strong with the bop that is "Black Dress". Not only that but the rest of the album is great as well. Every time I watch the video there is Yeeun's imaginary foot on my neck as she raps and show off just why she is the best CLC member. This is lowkey a hoe anthem.
