I Don't Like Shit But I Try To Go Outside: Blackout Poems by Garser Dismuke

I love poetry and I love Earl Sweatshirt so I combined the two. A Blackout Poem is a poem created from preexisting text. You simply blackout all the words you don't want and keep the ones you do. I did this with Earl Sweatshirt's second LP "I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside". My objective was to create a sub world that exists within the album, a story being told within a larger narrative. I added the song "HIVE", subtracted "Wool" and added "Sunday" but renamed it Gunday. There are a total of 11 Poems spanning 16 pages which you can view below.
