So we out here wifing sociopaths? Renai Boukun is a somewhat parody of Death Note in the fact that there are Shinigami with books that allows whose ever name written in to kiss another person. Now the Shinigami has the ability to write the names of two people but she only writes one name, that person has to kiss someone in 24 hours or they will remain a virgin forever and the Shinigami will die.
The plot sounds dumb, and it is, but I got some cheap laughs here and I actually enjoy it. Its an anime that's not supposed to be taken serious yet enjoyed. The Shinigami in this story is Guri adn the main character and poor sap is Seiji. Once the contract is placed on him he hurries to find someone to kiss. He decides on the School's most popular girl Akane but no one knew Akane had mad feelings for Seiji. Akane is borderline psychotic when it comes to him. So not only does Seiji have to deal with Akane but also Guri because she come to the conclusion that she loves him.
Even though I enjoyed this first episode, I have to say, things move way too fast in this anime. By the end of the episode we already had a Love Square. This anime does not do well with pacing. I hope it only gets 12 episodes because I might drop it if there's more. This is an Ecchi, Harem anime which I usually hate but I might give this one a chance provided the pacing slow down and we can actually get to know some of the characters. This is a somewhat promising series nonetheless.
