On the first Monday of the month before the Royal Rumble, Stephanie McMahon announces that since there has been an influx in female talent, her and Daniel Bryan have decided to introduce a Women’s Tag Team Division. There will be a Tournament over the course of the month involving both brands that concludes at the Royal Rumble. The Tournament will exclude Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch as they are already Champions. Star Fire decides not to participate as she has her eyes set on another championship. The bracket is announced based on who Stephanie and Bryan thought would work best with. The teams, Rounds and Winners are listed below.
Charlotte and Dana Brooke vs Bayley and Alicia Fox = Charlotte and Dana Brooke

So now we have are finalist on Raw and Smackdown who will face off at Royal Rumble for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Throughout the tournament, Oedo Tai is doing all types of tricks and dirty tactics to get mega heel heat. On the last NXT before Royal Rumble Mickie James calls out Asuka for a rematch but instead of Asuka entering the Arena, Star fire does, She assures Mickie that she has come alone and is only there for Business. Star Fire calls out Asuka for a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. Asuka and William Regal come out with Regal announcing that since Women’s Wrestling is extremely hot right now, there will be #1 Contender's match for Asuka’s title at the Royal Rumble with Mickie James vs whoever can win tonight on NXT between Ember Moon and Star Fire. The opening match of that NXT episode, Star fire and Ember Moon put on a great match full of high flying and stiff action. Star Fire goes over and will face Mickie at Royal Rumble.
Royal Rumble comes and the first match is the Women’s Tag Team Championship Finals. Holidead and Thunder Rosa go head to head with Charlotte and Dana Brooke, using all sorts of dirty tricks to gain the upper hand. Eventually other Oedo Tai members invade to cost Charlotte and Dana the titles making The Twisted Sistaz the Inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. Later that night we have Mickie James vs Star Fire. It’s a clean match with Star Fire winning. After her celebration the Oedo Tai members come out to celebrate with her. Instead they betray Star Fire and begin to jump her for not participating in the underhanded things the group has done since debuting. Asuka runs out to stop the madness but when she enters the ring, she gives the Oedo Tai members hugs before planting Star Fire with a kick. Act Yasukawa grabs the mic to announce Asuka as the new leader of Odeo Tai.
The next night on Raw the Oedo Tai stable, except for Asuka, cut a promo on how dominant they are in the business and how they can’t be stopped. Stephanie McMahon and Daniel Bryan announce that at FastLane the Twisted Sistaz will defend their titles against Bayley and Nikki Bella, Becky will defend against Kyoko Kimura and Sasha will defend against Kris Wolfe.
Asuka has gone full heel and is destroying the NXT, Raw and Smackdown Women’s divisions with Oedo Tai at her hand. On NXT the following week, William Regal states that there will be a Fatal 4 Way to decide who the second #1 Contender is for Asuka. Regal says that since Asuka has enough energy to appear on Raw, Smackdown and NXT, she has no problem defending her belt at NXT Wisconsin and Fastlane. Mickie James defeats, Star Fire, Ember Moon and Billie Kay to become #1 Contender. Regal says that he doesn’t want any shenanigans happening to derail the match so every female in WWE is banned from ringside and Star Fire will be a special referee. The match will take place at NXT Takeover: Wisconsin the day before Fastlane and Star Fire will face Asuka on the Fastlane card.
At NXT Takeover Wisconsin, Asuka is destroying Mickie James while taunting and toying with Star Fire. Asuka eventually wins cleanly and viciously attacks Star Fire after the match. Asuka puts Star Fire through a table to finish the assault. The Next night at the PPV the opening match is Asuka vs Star Fire which Asuka wins due to interference from Oedo Tai. Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch barely retain their belts due to interference from Oedo Tai. The Twisted Sistaz defeat Bayley and Nikki Bella as the Sistaz injure Nikki Bella’s right leg during the match causing a disadvantage for the heroines here.
The next night on Raw, Kyoko Kimura and Kris Wolfe address being robbed during their title matches and want a rematch. Sasha and Becky Lynch come out and state that no matter how good they are, even if Odeo Tai is kept from ringside, they will have a hard time trying to defeat Kyoko Kimura and Kris Wolfe. So, Sasha and Becky have proposed a Tag Team match at Wrestlemania where the Smackdown and Raw Women’s Championships will be on the line against Kris Wolfe and Kyoko Kimura. Oedo Tai agree. Later that night Bayley calls out the Twisted Sistaz and says that she lost because they injured her partner but knows someone who is strong and knows how to get the job done. Charlotte comes out and demands that the Sistaz put their titles on the line against her and Bayley at Wrestlemania to settle just who are the better and dominant wrestlers are. Twisted Sistaz agree.
On NXT Star Fire cuts a promo on Asuka saying that she can beat Asuka on any occasion but Asuka relies heavily on Oedo Tai these days to assure her wins. Asuka responds that she can beat Star Fire on any occasion as well and that she doesn’t need to rely on Oedo Tai for the win. They both agree to a match at Wrestlemania where no one has any help in their corner.

Asuka vs Star Fire for NXT Women’s Championship
Twisted Sistaz vs Bayley and Charlotte
Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks vs Kyoko Kimura and Kris Wolfe
So at WrestleMania the first match is Twisted Sistaz vs Charlotte and Bayley. Twisted Sistaz lose their titles to Bayley and Charlotte in a hard fought bout. Towards the middle of the card we see the second tag team match but for the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships. Sasha and Becky have a hard time trying to cooperate as they both desperately want to keep their titles. The tag team work of Wolfe and Kimura proves stronger as they eventually defeat Lynch and Banks. Kimura becomes the Raw Women’s Champion and Wolfe becomes the Smackdown Women’s Champion, sending her to Smackdown.
Then comes the next match of Asuka defending against Star Fire. Asuka and Star Fire slug it out with hard attacks, submissions and Star Fire gets her high flying maneuvers in. After interference from Kyoko Kimura and Kris Wolfe, Star Fire is able to overcome that and pin Asuka after hitting her with an Asai Moonsault and finishing it with a Package Piledriver. Star Fire becomes the new NXT Champion. The next night on Raw, Asuka makes her debut on Raw.
