"Meh" Albums of 2015: First Half

I previously talked about the underrated albums of 2015 so far. I also went over my favorite albums so far in an episode of Chicago K Pop. I was not going to talk about the albums I didn't like so much but I got bored so here they are. This is just my opinion and not the other writers of Blerdsonline.

Namie Amuro: _genic
I am a huge Namie Amuro fan. I was excited to learn of  a new album that would center around R&B since her switch to pop back in 2010. I thought this was her going back to her roots or so but no. The album is pretty meh. It doesn't have much replay ability and isn't really worth much. Only a few songs stand out which are Birthday, It, Golden Touch, and B Who I Want To B. The other songs aren't that good. Or at least not to be listened to in repetition. _genic is her worst album to date.

MONSTA X - Trespass
Everyone was waiting for their debut and even though it was good, in my opinion the album wasn't. Yeah all their fans love it and they got the success they worked for but the albums just doesn't correlate. I truly think its a good album but not by the standards I saw on the show No.Mercy. They wrote and produced most of their performances and music but they had no input on the actual album. Jooheon, IM, and Shownu can write no doubt yet they were nowhere in terms of lyrics. I feel like the album good have been better if it was made my them themselves. Again, the album is good but that's it, good.

Tyler The Creator - Cherry Bomb
This release was quite a surprise since it was announced a week before its release. I was quite excited for the album but that turned to confusion when I heard it. It was wasn't the classic Tyler we are used to. that's cool because he's grown in music but it was a very sudden change that we weren't used to. The only songs that have that signature Tyler feel are DeathCamp, Fucking Young, and the Brown Stains of Darkeese Latifah. A lot of people can agree with me that other than those songs, it was pretty meh. On some songs, especially me, you couldn't understand the words because the music was too loud or over bearing. Production wise the album is pretty good but the rest of it is really meh.

SISTAR - Shake It
I was not exited for this album at all so my expectations were not shot. This album is pretty meh because none of the songs correlate. It truly feels as if it was just thrown together. The actual songs are good but that's it. Yes Giriboy and Mad Clown had great raps but that doesn't save the entire album.I felt as if we could have gone with out this album s a whole. It was just to be apart of the summer releases. Even Soyou said it herself that the title song "Shake It" gets better with every listen. Well the album doesn't.

Jason Derulo - Everything is 4
Want You to Want me is such a great song so I knew the album would be good. I thought wrong. Actually the album was good but that's all. Besides Want To Want Me, none of the other songs have that much replay ability. On top of that it just didn't sound too good altogether. Jason Derulo is a great artist but this album in particular doesn't showcase it that much.

Jamie Foxx - Hollywood: A Story of A Dozen Roses
This album is the same as everything is 4. This doesn't really highlight foxx as being the great singer that he is. Some songs felt like old rehashed songs and some felt to young for him. text Messages it too old for him. He's 40 years old and doesn't need technology or this stuff. In all it just felt meh. It didn't feel like Jamie Foxx at all. His previous albums were much better.

These were just albums that didn't really matter much. they had some good songs but turned out to be just meh in the long run. These albums are near forgettable and don't get much of replay.
