Interview with TK_cosplay

While I was at Otakon I got to meet  cosplayer Tony Chen better known as TK_cosplay. More specifically he was one of my roommates. At the beginning of the day Tony was very quiet and kept to himself but later on in the day he became a social butterfly. Tony talked with me a lot about his passion for cosplay and prop making, as well as just having some general conversation. Tony invited me to hang out with him as well as his two friends the following day. I have to say that I legitimately had the most fun at an anime convention I've ever had just from hanging out with Tony and his friends! Tony was even nice enough to let me wear one of his cosplay outfits! Tony it was great meeting you and I look forward to seeing you at future anime conventions. SQUAD! Anyways, check out the interview I did with TK_cosplay. Enjoy and make sure to check out some of his work.

Taiwan: So Tony can you tell the people a bit about yourself.

TK_cosplay: Hello! I'm a 17 year old Asian male cosplayer who's just enjoying his life.

Taiwan: When did you start cosplaying?

TK_cosplay: I started cosplaying last year as of Otakon 2014 (August 8th-12th).

Taiwan: Why did you want to start cosplaying?

TK_cosplay: I started cosplaying because I thought it'll be something fun to experience.

Taiwan: Do you make your own cosplay?

TK_cosplay: Yes! I make my own cosplay.

Taiwan: How do you go about making your props and cosplay?

TK_cosplay: Well I personally don't buy the actual costumes but I make all the props myself. I just want to be able to show people that props can be made out of literally anything.

Taiwan: Do your family and friends know that you cosplay?

TK_cosplay: Yes! All my friends and my family know that I cosplay.

Taiwan: What do you like to do when you’re not working on props and your cosplay outfits?

TK_cosplay: Well when I'm not cosplaying or working on my props, I’m usually just on my laptop or play games.

Taiwan: Are there any cosplayers that you look up too?

TK_cosplay: I look up to Svetlana Quindt (kamuicosplay on instagram) and Juicy_and_Wet (juicy_and_wet on instagram).

Taiwan: Do you have any goals that are cosplay related?

TK_cosplay: I want my cosplays to be able to be in videos in any kind of way.

Taiwan: Is there anything that you would like to tell the people that are reading this?

TK_cosplay: If you're a cosplayer, keep up the hard work and it'll eventually pay off! For non-cosplayers, you should try cosplaying! It's really fun!

Taiwan: Where can people find you at (Instagram, Facebook, and even Twitter) to keep up with you and to find out what anime conventions that you're going to?

TK_cosplay: People can find me on Facebook as Tony Chen (my personal Facebook) and also can find me on Instagram as TK_cosplay
