If you know me you know that I am a huge Kara fan. Kara has been through some things in the last 3 years. Members Jiyoung and Nicole left to focus on their solo activities. Kara added a new and younger member Youngji to the group. Now I like Youngji but adding a new member to an already established group is a bad idea. Once Youngji joined they released their 6th mini album Day&Night. It was good but it could have been better. Or it as good but I need to get used to Youngji being apart of the group.
With the addition of Youngji Kara is pretty much a new group. What I men is that the chemistry and the flow of Kara has changed drastically. Kara is releasing a new mini album in a few hours in Korea today. I'm not excited at all. I am not hyped nor ready for this album. I just don't feel anything because I know that its not going to be as good as Kara's old music. Now I'm not the ind of person who stops listening to an artist because their music changes over time but I'm just not feeling the new Kara all that much.
I listened to their album review and the only song that stuck out to me is Starlight. I want to like this new album but as of right now I don't. I hope my opinion changes once I listen to the album as a whole. I will always love and listen to Kara but maybe I'll just have to wade it out until they come out with a full length album.
