I listen to music a lot. I mean every second of the day. I listen to some songs so much that I decided to look at what are my most played songs on my phone. I was surprised at some but not for others. Check out my list below.
10: CL - MTBD
I am not surprised at this song being in the top 10. I actually listened to this song everyday in 2014 from February to July. The song is so lively with all of the bass and all of the beat drops. CL really shows her colors aside from 2NE1 in this song even thought it was on the groups second album CRUSH. It definitely is a great song to do anything to. I played this while I worked on my schools haunted hallway. It was definitely bussin.
9: BTS - Let Me Know
This song here. It was produced by Suga which makes it even better. This has to be one of BTS's best songs. Not only does it show their Hip Hop side but their R&B sides as well. The singers V, Jin, Jimin and Jungkook are able to let their voices be heard on the chorus as the rappers deliver deep raps about love. It truly is a song that is worth being in my top 10. Its a song that doesn't require you to be in love nor in your feelings about some. It is simply a good song.
8: BEAST - We Up
This a fun song by my favorite Korean Boy Band. Its pretty much about feeling good and wanting to party. I play this every time I'm feeling good. I blast it in my car, basement, and headphones. This song will make you get up and dance every time you hear it. I am surprised it may it into my top 10. I would suspect Good Luck or even Dream Girl as the most played BEAST song.
7: 2NE1 - Happy
I am contempt with this great song. 2NE1 always have great songs and this is one. The song is about wishing for your ex's happiness after the break. Its sort of a sad song but happy at the same time. It is upbeat and will make you sing all every time you hear it.
6: Jay Park - 1hunnit Remix
I listened to every song on Jay Park's album Evolution about 20 times. I am actually surprised this one made it to the lust considering my love for Metronome. But even so it does make sense. As one of the hip hop numbers on the album, 1hunnit brings out some great beats and lyrics. You can easily find yourself rapping along and even dancing a little. I played this song all fall of 2014 and I still do little. Its a great song to listen to when you pull up to a stop light with your window down and the car next to you looks in confusion.
5: Taeyang - Love You to Death
This is the biggest shocker on the list. I was expecting this song to be #1 but it falls to the #5 slot. I can't be completely made because it did make in this far. If you know me and Listen to my podcast Chicago K Pop, you know that I absolutely love this song to death. It is one of the best R&B songs of 2014. This song itself is better than R Kelly's entire album Black Panties. This is probably the best song I have ever heard. There are no words to explain this song but greatness. You have to listen to it in order to get the full effect but just know I want this song played at my wedding and funeral.
4: Lip Service - Too Fancy
I am shocked because I was not expecting this song to be #4. I love this song to death but I was surprised to see it beat out a lot of songs. Maybe I do listen to this song too much. But I can't help it because it is really good. I listened to it all summer and fall. It really gets my body moving and my bones shaking. there is no way you can not dance to this song. This song has to be played at my funeral. I can already see my dead body and spirit dancing to it.
3: Jay Park - Who the F**k is You
This is the song that got my friends into Korean Rap. They love this song. Every time we get into my car we have to play this song. Jay Park truly shows his hip hop side in this number here. Its not quite like Korean music because it has a Western or American feel. It is good though. Anyone with haters can relate to this song. Its pretty much about being on your grind and not letting lames stop you. Plus the verses and beat are sick as hell. AOMG Gang.
2: BTS - Hip Hop Lovers
I am very happy with this song. This was the first song on their album that clicked with me. I listened to this before any other song before I finally gave the entire album a full listen. I just couldn't stop listening to it. The beat captures you and the lyrics proceed to liberate you from your body. BTS straight up tell you we love Hip Hop and will never care how most people say "why you like that hip hop shit". Its sort of a "I maybe an idol but my roots are in hip hop" type song. I enjoy this song damn ear everyday.
1: BTS - Cypher 3: Killer
This song here. I actually listened to this song everyday over the summer and throughout fall and winter. I recently stopped listening to it everyday. I knew that there would be a third cypher on the a;bum but I didn't think it would go so hard. This is the best one yet. Rap Monster, J-Hope, snd Suga totally destroy this track. I'm pretty sure they burned their mikes to a crisp when recording. Suga went off the most. He takes the best verse on this cypher. You can not listen to this song without rapping along side it. I know the lyrics so it makes it even harder. This song goes so hard though. I bump this song everywhere I go. This goes down as one of their best songs no doubt.
