It was the winter of 2014 and everyone was raving about the Winter anime. Some people liked it and others hated them. One of the series that had promise was great up until episode 5. That series name is Mahou Sensou or others may know it as Magical Warfare.
When I first read the preview for this anime I got a little happy. It seemed we were going to get an anime about magic that wasn't going to be too lame or just boring. I watched the first episode and I was liking it. I kept on watching and my interest kept growing until something happened. One of the main characters, Mui Aiba sets out to find her brother who has turned sides. The series takes place in a magical world apart from the human world where a war is happening. Aiba's brother decided to act like Sasuke and it was up to Narut- I mean Aiba went on a search mission with the main character Takeshi and his friend Kazumi.
Here is where the anime took a hit for me. It was good until they started to fight. Kazumi and Takeshi got their powers a month ago and Aiba's brother, Tsuganashi, had been a skilled magician for years but lost on a him. Not only that but they were able to knock him out and bring him back to the Magic Academy. What type of garbage is that. This is like if Naruto beat Zabuza with the Uzamaki Barage and just so happened to knock him out. Not only that but they were able to break the spell he was over and he stayed with them at the Academy as a teacher. This guy just tried to kill everyone and now he's a teacher?
Not only that but the entire story line to Mahou Sensou is completely predictable and cheesy. Takeshi has a bad relationship with his brother and mother. The very first episode when Takeshi and his friends go to the magic world, I called his brother coming later and joining the villain. That happened and it was no surprise. And you know why his brother did it, he was jealous because Isoshima, Takeshi's female friend, had feelings for Takeshi. This dude joined the villains all because he was a lame.
Magicians have a weapon that regulates their power. Takeshi's weapon became a sword gun. It was epic with black and purple coloring but it became trash because something happened. The sword was said to be used by a powerful magician who was around during a war 14 years ago. Don't quote me on the years. I called it being his mother and it came true because she came to train him later in like episode 7 or 8. This series sucks. The only character I like is Kippei Washizu because he nearly killed the stupid loli principle of the Academy. She's 12 I think. The only reason she survived was of plot reasons. I stopped watching after episode 7 so I don't know or care what happened next. Do not watch the anime or read the manga. Just read the light novels. Even the creator didn't want it to become an anime so maybe the light novels suck to.

It's funny because i stopped watching at episode 6...it was bad. The MC was trash. Poor Isoshima...she was the only thing i liked aobut the anime and he cast her aside for a girl with a brother complex.
ReplyDeleteIsoshima should be blamed for that she should have know that she and takeshi cannot fake the bf-gf drama for long one day someone will come that Takeshi will love. She is practically using him for her own sake it's not his fault that all the guys love her and he shouldn't be responsible for that. Mui didn't ask him to care about her he helped her himself because he likes mui.
