Arata Kangatari: Much Disappointment

This series right here killed me. the Spring anime of 2013 looked good but the only ones l looked at were Mushibugyo, Date A Live, and Arata Kangatari. Today I'm talking about Arata and I will get to Mushibugyo another time. Arata Kangatari is about a boy from ourr world being switched with a boy with the same name from a world were magic and super powers are common. Now Let me say that I'm only talking about the anime today. I have never read the manga so I'm not going to talk about it.

I had actual hopes for this anime because it looked nice. The animation was great, the plot seemed cool, and the powers were awesome. But that all came to an end because it was only 12 episodes. 12 episodes of disappointment. The main character who comes from the modern world to the magical world is a big panzy. This kid is just annoying because of how he has no friends and he's always depressed because his best friend stop liking him. And the reason his best friend hates him is because he beat him in a race. I am not fucking kidding. They stopped being friends because one beat the other in a race. That's not the only problem though.

You know ho in Naruto a lot of the main characters are ,ales who have a rival male friends and their relationship seems to the point that they could be gay. That's in this anime as well. The main characters' rival shows up in the magical world and decides to be bad and kill him. Then there were other characters with the same damn story as well. The story became shit real quick. After like epiosde 7 I was done trying to like this anime. There was nothing that could have kept me into this series. Not even the two great ending themes. The themes were done by OLDCODEX and man they made the anime better. Other than that I wouldn't waste my time on the anime. I'm pretty sure the manga is way better so go read that.
