Yuuki has AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), when she was born she needed a blood transfusion. The blood was infected with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) which caused her to have AIDS. By the time any of this was realized, her whole family was infected. Eventually Yuuki would be hospitalized, her parents died, and her sister died. While being hospitalized Yuuki was able to play VRMMO’s thanks to a machine called a Medicuboid. Before Yuuki died, the Sleeping Knights wanted to complete their goal with the help of Asuna. Asuna helped them defeat the floor boss and as a result they completed their goal. Asuna later found out about Yuuki’s illness and decided to help her before she died in any way possible. While all of this craziness was going down, Asuna had her own problems to deal with.
Asuna is rich and her life sucks. If you watch a lot of anime, you have probably seen the rich female character that has a life that sucks. Asuna’s mom is a bitch and makes Asuna’s life miserable by making choices for her instead of letting Asuna have the freedom to do so herself. Yuuki indirectly helps Asuna out by giving her the will to fight for what she believes in. Asuna goes onto have a conversation with her mom that led to a heart to heart moment that would allow Asuna to have the right to make her own choices in life. Now time to fast forward to Asuna helping Yuuki achieve some of her personal goals before she dies. Thanks to Kirito’s epic mecha skills he was able to create a fancy camera that allowed Yuuki to view the real world. Thanks to that fancy camera, Asuna was able to attach the camera to her shoulder and was also able to interact with Yuuki. Yuuki had the chance to participate in a school class (something she wanted to do) and got to see her old home thanks to Asuna. Then :’(((((
Yuuki dies after struggling with AIDS for 15 years but right before she died Yuuki gave Asuna the special 11 hit combo sword skill (AKA Mother’s Rosario) in ALfheim Online. Also before Yuuki died her guild came to see her one last time as well as Kirito and a lot of other ALfheim Online players. So Yuuki died with the people that she loved plus many more players there that were showing their respects. Yuuki died peacefully and without the pain that AIDS causes thanks to the Medicuboid. Overall this arc was fucking sad man. I loved it but at the same time I felt depressed after watching this. This arc had me thinking deep about life for a little bit. At the same time this arc ended on a happy note so I’m glad. Hope you enjoyed this review. I might review the other arcs that were covered in season 2 as well.
