I was going to make two other reviews for season 2 of Sword Art Online (AKA SAO 2) but I got pretty lazy after I made a detail review about the Mother's Rosario arc (check that review out please when it comes out ☻). So I decided to make this into a “give this anime a chance article”.
The other two arcs that I didn’t review (Phantom Bullet arc and Caliber arc) were really good as well. Phantom Bullet deals with Kirito investigating a VRMMO called Gun Gale Online after a character named Death Gun goes around killing strong players. This arc is pretty damn good. You’ll get to see characters from season 1 as well as new characters, nice ass fights, and the animation is solid. Caliber arc is about a mega quest that rewards the player with the sword Excalibur if they complete the quest. Another nice little arc that is enjoyable. Season 2 of Sword Art Online was great and made up for the second half of season 1. We’re most likely going to see a third season in a year or two so that’s great. I really enjoyed season 2 and I hope more people give Sword Art Online a second chance if they were turned off after the Fairy Dance arc (second half of season 1).
If you haven’t watched Sword Art Online give it a shot. If the second half of season 1 pissed you off give season 2 a shot because season 2 makes up for it. If you like Sword Art Online then go check out Log Horizon because Log Horizon is a video game anime that is more plot focused (video game wise) then Sword Art Online. You might even see a review for Log Horizon in the future. Peaceeeeeeeeee.
