Anime/Manga Disappointments: Nobunagun

If you've been reading my blog for the 10 months you know that the Winter Anime of 2014 had a lot of promising anime in it. Majority of those promising anime had shit endings and everything you thought was going to happen didn't. What I mean is that you thought some were going to be action packed but had very little scenes or the action was very meh. Today I'm going over one of the series from that season and I actually reviewed it up until the last two episodes. That series is Nobunagun.

Someone had given me a Crunchyroll 48 hour guest pass when the Winter Anime premiered so I decided to watch all of them on there. I watched Nobunagun in my first period class the next day. The very first episode had me pumped for it because lots and lots of action went down in that episode. I thought from then on that it would be crazy fight scenes and some good animation. I was wrong. The first episode is the first and last episode with lots of great action. Every episode after that was very boring and had very few action scenes.

The action scenes, when they did happen, were only about five minutes long and weren't special at all. The story got lackluster as well. It went from saving the world to pretty much nothing. The series got very boring really quick. After Episode two I was only reviewing it because I said I was going to. After Episode 11 I just stopped because I knew I wouldn't like the last two episodes and would have ended up ranting. Kind of what I'm doing now. Nobunagun was a big let down. I was expecting good characters and some crazy action but only episode one delivered. I don't care for any of the characters at all. There is only one character who I like and that is Galileo. She was a cute and feisty loli. Galileo and Nonon Jakuzure from Kill La Kill are the reasons I like Lolis (don't get me Darrel)

Listen man, do not waste you're time on this 13 episode anime. It is completely boring and there is just nothing good about it except the opening theme. The opening theme is Respect For The Dead Man by Pay Money To My Pain. Other than that there is nothing special to this anime. I'm actually mad that it got an adaptation. But like I said don't even try to watch episode one after reading this. It was a very big disappointment that I didn't see coming. I'm going to be doing these on Blerdsonline for now on with everything else I had planned for my former blog before I ended it. That is all I had to say this time so I'll see you guys later.

  2. It's complete garbage. It makes you regret everything you watched in the last 2 episodes. If you watched them, you would be pissed

  3. Let me tell you about Nobunagun. "You'll really like this" "Lot of Action" etc. etc. I actually got mad that I watched 4 episodes. I was down with the Guild Life at the time and I was going to watch this as my winter anime. This anime may have been the reason I left The Guild, if not it had some influence. Like you said, action scenes rarely happened and when they did they were extreamly short. Somebody has to fight me about this anime. I'm mad all over again.

  4. Fight scenes must be 5 episodes then? Or like them attacking some OP guy for long time
I loved this anime but apparently if this guy hates it, it's bad. You choose to not watch it because he said to.
